Various issues had plagued the team in the past: poor functioning mobile power systems, bulky components, poor end-user confidence, no way to stow the unit safely, and no inherent “transportability,” just to scratch the surface. Oh, and please do it on a budget!

Out of that, Phyxius was formed. Our goal was to design a solution and bring it to beta testing, in a real-world environment, in under six months, and then to full market release in under 12 months. Merging the unique talents of our relationships in the clinical, design, and fabrication spaces, Phyxius was able to meet these goals.

We believe that transport, at all levels, should not only be streamlined for the clinician but available for the welfare of the patient; no more “modified” workflows that eliminate aspects of the therapy. We wanted nothing less than full-spectrum care from bedside to bedside with no compromises, no highly specialized, bulky or costly systems.

We begin this journey by making high-flow nasal cannula systems more approachable to the mobile clinician. Other products are also in development. In short, regardless of the transport environment that you operate in, be it in the hospital or clinic, traditional EMS, or flight and ground critical care transport, at Phyxius, we bring integration to healthcare.
